Bug Alliance is a top-down Action Roguelite where every run is a new experiment—and every level-up is a real decision. Fight through escalating waves, shape your build through upgrades and Synergies, and earn your progress across a story-driven campaign that rewards mastery.

THE STORY

Earth didn’t just fall—it turned desperate. As forests vanished and survival collapsed, humans engineered bugs to last longer… then escalated into cruelty: breeding, reshaping, and enslaving entire species as food, tools, and weapons.

The swarms mutated, fought back, and forced humanity from the planet—yet not all of them died. A remnant fled, watching from afar. In the silence that followed, three Queens rose to unite the surface and form Volucris —while far beneath, the leftovers of human experiments continued to evolve into something far worse.

Play as a growing roster of bug warriors—each built around a distinct combat identity.

- Every bug has 2 weapons and 4 abilities

- Before a run, choose 1 weapon and 1 ability to level up during the match

- During gameplay, you may gain one additional random ability , opening new combos

- Start with Pruver - a genius engineer, then unlock more bugs by completing specific conditions

Each character supports multiple build paths—from raw damage and critical bursts to sustain, defense, and control—depending on how you upgrade.

ONSLAUGHT: THE CORE MODE

Onslaught is the heart of Bug Alliance—a focused, replayable wave experience.

- 20 waves per map

- A climactic boss fight at Wave 20

- Defeat the boss to complete the map and progress to tougher challenges

STORY PROGRESSION

Bug Alliance’s campaign is structured as Prologue + 13 Chapters , delivered through 13 maps —and the story is earned through mastery.

- Clear a map on Normal to unlock Hard

- Beat that map on Hard to reveal its story chapter

- Hard difficulty also adds additional threats, including environmental events like tornadoes, meteor showers, and more

- Clear Hard to unlock Extreme

- Extreme introduces quick missions , such as defending objectives or hunting elite enemies

CHAOS SURGE: ENDLESS RUNS, CURSES, AND HIGH-RISK REWARDS

Chaos Surge is an endless mode where the game keeps raising the stakes.

- A Chaos Level rises as you kill enemies

- When it fills, a boss appears

- Defeat the boss to choose one of 3 Curse Cards

- Curses are negative modifiers that reshape your run and escalate difficulty

- A Merchant appears at key milestones

- Spend Teeth dropped by enemies to buy power-ups, healing, and other run-saving tools

The longer you survive, the more your build is tested—and the more legendary it becomes.

LEVEL-UP CARDS: YOUR BUILD IS YOUR POWER

Every run is shaped by choices.

When you level up:

- 4 random upgrade cards appear

- Pick one to strengthen your build

Upgrades can enhance:

- Weapons

- Abilities

- Tactical Gear

- Glyphs (HP, shield, armor, crit, and more)

Each item has a max level , so committing to one path means sacrificing another—making every run feel personal and strategic.

SYNERGIES: THE MOMENT YOUR BUILD “CLICKS”

Push your gear to its peak and unlock Synergies —powerful transformations that change how your weapons and abilities behave.

- 2 Synergy paths for every weapon and ability

- Each path supports a different playstyle
