About This Game

Warped Universe: A Meta-driven Sci-fi Looter Shooter

You deploy onto a planet consumed by the Void. Push through the corruption, neutralize the cosmic threat, secure vital resources.

But here's the thing. That mission didn't just help you.

The Residuum you obtained just powered a facility on that planet. That facility, once completed, just gave a permanent buff to every player in the game. Meanwhile, someone else on the other side of the galaxy just discovered a new planet, unlocking more global buffs. Hundreds of these objectives, every season, all feeding the same universe.

You run the mission. The whole galaxy feels it.

That’s Warped Universe. A co-op* PvE looter shooter where the community drives the entire universe forward together.

Note: Solo missions launch with Early Access. Squad co-op arrives in an early post-launch update. Every mission you run, solo or grouped, feeds the same shared universe.

Explore. Defend. Upgrade. Empower.

Explore: Discover uncharted sectors and hidden planets.

Defend: Protect hundreds of seasonal objectives from the Void, a relentless alien enemy.

Upgrade: Collect Cores and Sparks to evolve and power up your custom Echo Suit and Ship.

Empower: Secure facilities to unlock permanent global buffs for everyone.

If You Like These Games, You'll Feel At Home In Our Universe

Every mission in Warped Universe can be played as real-time third-person action or turn-based tactics, on the ground or in space. Play it the way you want, every time.

The PvE loop will feel familiar if you play Helldivers 2, Deep Rock Galactic, Warframe, or Destiny 2. Space flight will feel familiar to those who play Everspace 2, Star Wars Battlefront, or No Man's Sky. For fans of turn-based tactical games like XCOM 2, Phoenix Point, Fallout Tactics, and Aliens: Dark Descent, every mission can be played turn-based as well as real-time. We took what we love about those games and built something new where everyone matters, and every mission counts.

Early Access - What's Here Now

Solo ground combat and space exploration. Nexus Station social hub with players gathering between missions. Planetary facility progression. A seasonal solar system the community unlocks together. Real-time action or turn-based tactics, your choice each mission. Squad co-op for 1 to 4 players arriving in an early post-launch update.

What Makes It Different

A Shared Destiny

Every mission feeds the bigger picture. Complete objectives, extract Residuum, activate and defend planetary facilities. The buffs don’t just go to your squad. They go to everyone. The more the community plays, the more the solar system opens up. Every facility you finish unlocks a permanent power-up for the entire community. Work together to guide the expansion.

Play Your Way

Bring your shooter friend. Bring your tactics friend. Bring the friend who just wants to fly through space. Everyone plays the way they want, and it all counts. The solar system expands based on what the community accomplishes together.

Independently Developed

Built by a team of 12. No publisher, no investors telling us what to make. Just developers with credits on Jumpgate, Auto Assault, LEGO Universe, and Dragons & Titans, building the game we wanted to play.

Free to Play, Forever

No paywalls. No pay-to-win. No gameplay locked behind a purchase. Cosmetics are the only thing you can buy, and the game stays free after Early Access.

Nexus Station

The Nexus Station is the central hub for players in Warped Universe, functioning as a vibrant social, strategic, and operational base. Within the station, players will find a variety of features that enhance both gameplay and interaction. The real-time 3D solar system map allows players to track planetary progress, monitor operational facilities, and scout for regions of space to expand the Oracle’s reach.

Workstations throughout the station allow players to acquire new equipment, apply cosmetics, and add upgrades to enhance their arsenal in preparation for what lurks beyond.

WHAT’S COMING

Season Zero is just the beginning. We have major gameplay expansions planned that will fundamentally change how you approach every mission. Follow us for reveals.

SEASONAL SOLAR SYSTEMS

In Warped Universe, seasonal gameplay will keep the experience fresh and ever-changing. As players complete missions and collect Residuum, they’ll construct new planets and establish various facilities to unlock technologies, all while defending their creations from the Void’s relentless threat.

Each season introduces new solar systems, missions, and technology to explore with lore updates that bring new environments, combatants, and cosmetics.

SEASON ZERO

This is the beginning. New planets, new enemies, new facilities. Your progress matters. What the community builds in Season Zero shapes everything that comes next.

* Solo missions launch with Early Access. Squad co-op arrives in an early post-launch update. Every mission you run, solo or grouped, feeds the same shared universe.
